Meet Pastor Cassandra Wainright
Pastor Cassandra (better known as Pastor Sandy) Wainright is no stranger to ministry. Pastor Sandy gave her life to the Lord at the age of 12 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church and later rededicated her life at the age of 27 while preparing for life as a single mom. It was there that she learned to serve over the course of 26 years by working in leadership positions such as the Adult Choir President and Director, Church Secretary, Sunday School Teacher, President of the Young Missionaries Society and many other supportive roles. She would later continue her service in ministry fulfilling various roles at the Pentecostal Deliverance Inner-Healing Ministries and Destiny Life Center Ministries. Pastor Sandy received her license to preach the Gospel in 2000 and was ordained as an Elder in 2002.
Professionally, Pastor Sandy has worked as a credit representative; office manager; church secretary and administrator; and lastly, co-owner and director of a Christian child care center for 10 years before being called full-time to the Gospel Ministry.
She has served on the Board of Directors for the Mother & Child Health Coalition, RIPL (Rearranging Important People's Lives), the Materials Review Committee for the Kansas City Free Health Clinic and as Program Coordinator for Calvary Community Outreach Network. She has recently been invited to serve as a member of the Community Advisory Board for the Raytown School District. Pastor Sandy also serves on the planning committee forthe "National Week of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS in Kansas City" is a member of the Board of Directors of the Danielle Sana Shareef Foundation and a Community Advisory Board Member for the Health Disparities Committee of KU Medical Center. Above all else, her desire is to serve God with her whole heart and to be a blessing to those whom God sends along the way.
Pastor Sandy is a committed Pastor, wife, mother, grandmom and author. Pastor Cassandra Wainright has experienced much and contrasts her life and identifies most with the lives of Joseph and David in the Bible. She has just finished writing her first book titled: "There's A Story Behind My Praise" and if asked, her concluding statement concerning who she really is would be: “I am a friend of God who has a story behind my praise!”
